On February 20, a momentous event took place in London, bringing together the world’s leading architects, developers, interior designers and real estate agents — the International Property Awards 2025. The global competition is held annually in Europe, Arabia, Canada, Central and South America, the UK, Asia Pacific and Arabia. It is a globally recognized mark of quality, innovation and excellence.
Judged by an independent panel of more than 50 experts, the Versace Home showroom by Solomia Home won worldwide recognition in two prestigious categories at once:
- Best Retail Interior Arabia.
- Best International Retail Interior.
It should be noted that shortly before that, in December 2024, the company was awarded Best Retail Interior Dubai, which allowed it to become a contender for the central “Oscar” in the field of luxury interior design.
The showroom’s interior mesmerizes with its grandeur and thoughtfulness in every detail. Clean lines and modern architectural forms become a stage on which the DNA of the Versace brand is revealed in all its glory in iconic pieces of furniture, in which the handwriting of the extraordinary Gianni Versace is recognized.
All this was realized thanks to the teamwork of Solomia Home founder Dmytro Korotchuk, CEO Luca Bacci and the inspired ideas of creative designer and showroom co-founder Svitlana Antonovych. Creative talent and many years of experience in the international market demonstrate that great design is not only beautiful furnishings. It is a new quality of life that can fundamentally change ideas about perfection.
— What made the showroom a winner at the International Property Awards?
— The Versace Home showroom creates an immersive environment that allows visitors to not only explore the full range of Versace Home’s offerings but also to have an unforgettable experience with the brand’s unique codes. Each showroom area is designed to emphasize the versatility and grandeur of Versace design, from the luxurious living room to the sophisticated bedroom area. The collection’s iconic motifs, such as the Medusa head, Barocco and Greca prints, are reinterpreted in a contemporary way. The seamless combination of the latest trends in luxury interior design and a deep respect for Versace’s legendary heritage has earned the showroom design project its highest accolade. — Svitlana Antonovych replies.
— What is the most memorable element of the interior realization process?
— This project is my most incredible pride. It has a lot of exclusive solutions, custom-made details and our joint efforts. A lot of vivid emotions are connected with each process. For example, placing the iconic Versace emblem — Medusa’s head as the centrepiece on the ceiling — required meticulousness and attention to detail. Our commitment to excellence and clear result vision encouraged us to realize this fantastic element actively. We monitored every step, travelling to the production site to get what was in our visualizations. One day, when we were as close to our goal as possible, and our Medusa was almost ready, we still noticed some flaws. Then, the general manager of the Versace Home showroom, Luca Bacci, took it upon himself to polish the imperfections. It was unforgettable.
— Explain in detail the unique design solutions for the interior.
This is the Gorgon logo, which is located on the corner of the room wall. It is made of luxurious Pure Black marble with deep milling.
To reflect Versace’s modern approach, it was decided to move away from symmetry and place the logo on the corner. The deep brushing gave the marble surface an exquisite matte and porous appearance, which adds even more nobility. We applied the same technique for Calacatta marble in the meeting rooms. The interpretation of classic elements in a modern way reflects the Versace philosophy in the best possible way. You can also notice the avoidance of symmetry on the maps where the plaster Medusa Gorgons are placed. By shifting their positioning to the corners, we gave them a modern touch.
The first floor of the showroom deserves special attention. Initially the room was not supposed to have a second tier. But since it was important for us to show the architecture of the space, we still decided to go through many stages of coordination and achieve the goal. The first floor is decorated in muted shades and is reserved for the Outdoor collection. The luxurious design is built on contrasts that harmoniously complement each other. Light elements and deep black background, high ceilings in the hall and low ceilings in the sleeping area: this play of light and shadows that creates a unique visual perception. And even the front door handle, in galvanized black steel, emphasizes that this is a unique space in which there are no secondary details. Everything matters.
— What are the following steps: do you plan to improve the showroom?
We constantly research current trends and integrate innovations into the interior of the Versace Home showroom, but we are always committed to timeless solutions. This allows us to make the design functional and as comfortable as possible for our clients. After all, as we know, fashion changes, but style remains eternal.
